the Can produces
Over the last week, some areas of the wasatch have received over 100 inches of some of the highest grade snow known to man. This time of year you gotta milk every storm because you never really know if this will be the last powder for the year. The canyons area has produced thousands of feet of deep untracked vertical fall line skiing for us this last week. Only busted out the camera a few times because it was so damn good!

birthday @ Pow Mow
On march 27th, my brothers and I celebrated our pops' 56th birthday at none other than powder mountain. My pop, like many utah skiers/boarders, he had never been to powder mountain. After a healthy serving of fresh pow last week (30in+) and bluebird skies slated for the old mans b-day, it was time he learned why we have been going there for the last 4 years. He learned pretty quickly why they call it Powder Mountain!

The birthday boy cutting it up on lightning ridge.

Siebert testing out his new jones. so far so good.

farming the pow at powder mountain is often times highly enjoyable.

dropping into a steep chute off Cobabe Peak, pre avalanche

a proper slope cut resulted in the entire chute getting flushed out with the debris running rather far down into the trees.

It would have been a bumpy ride had I taken the fall line down into the chute.

100k
pow mow perspective reached 100,000 views on vimeo today. figured I'd post it up.
On another note, winter is over. I'm definitely looking forward to the journey in the spring. It looks like winter weather will stick around for awhile though. Look out for the Saguaro adventures coming this spring.

playing the flute
last weekend I took my pop up to northern utah for his first ever day of snowmobiling. Overall we had a fantastic day full of sunshine, powder, and $20k + turbo snowmobiles. Hit some nice fluted steeps as well....

in other news, I just bought a limited Saguaro slide in camper topper for my truck and we are driving to alaska this spring. That is all.
