Capitol Reef National Park

   This rugged strip of land in southern Utah is worth checking out, and I'm not sure why it took me 10 years to do so. Its only four and half hours from my house to the deep sandstone canyons and broad deserts that make up this weird, and completely unique part of the planet. Capitol Reef is an exceptional place to wander through when the temperatures are in the mid 70's and the weather is pristine, as it was for my girlfriends birthday. We checked out the halls creek narrows at the southern end of the park, and
made a nice 23 mile overnighter out of it...
