Deep Powder P.O.V
This video is about an unforgetable day at The Canyons ski resort in Park City, Utah. The date was 4/6/10, and it was nearly spring time yet the biggest snowstorms of the year were coming down on the wasatch mountains. Sheltered from the wind, the aspen tree forests at The Canyons were holding bottlomless untracked snow that never seemed to run out.
Im getting excited because I know winter is just around the bend. If nothing more this video is a little teaser for the epic powder days that are sure to come this winter. May the powder be plentiful and light!

summer of love
I love summer time. Its ironic because Im currently in a place where its below freezing, howling winds, and snowing heavily. Im in Chile for 4 weeks with the hopes of skiing some deep powder. While im really looking forward to this trip, I must say, I was really enjoying the beautiful summer in Utah! I wanted to share some pictures from the last few weeks leading up to my departure. You see, I knew I was heading to the cold wintery environment of the Andes mountains so I had to seize every opportunity to get out and fish/camp/hike/climb/bike/etc....

^ Biking the Crest trail in the early morning hours with my brother. I haven't biked much in the last 5 years but thats all about to change.

^ The Crest trail follows the park city ridgeline with epic views of the central Wasatch.

^ The wildflowers were just starting to go OFF!!! Indian Paintbrush

^ Fishing the green drake hatch this summer yielded some outrageously epic days. For me, the pinnacle moment in fly fishing is casting big dry-flies to even bigger trout and thats exactly what the green drake hatch can provide.

^ This mayfly avoided the gaping mouths of the trout on the middle provo river to dry his wings on the grassy banks

^ The day before I left for south america, we made one last float down the green river.

^ A colorful Bonneville Cutthroat from the High Uinta mountains

^ Shooting time lapses of the milky way in the uintas. It was a magical evening to say the least.
^ I love how this photo turned out. Whats going on with my net?!?! (no photoshop)

Snowboarding P.O.V
Although I prefer to ski, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! For me that was mounting up my brothers snowboard and taking it up for my first pow day of the year. During a 2 day period, Utah was pummeled by a snow storm from the south-west. 2-6 feet was deposited in an instant. Since I didn't have any skis at the time, I eagerly grabbed the 164 Jones Experience mid-wide and learned how to surf the pow. It was all time, and probably ranks up there as some of the best pow days of my life!

Help me win $20,000!
About a month ago, I was notified about an online video contest to win $20,000. Thats right, 20k for the best video. Well coincidentally I have been shooting HD P.O.V footage all season long so I decided to whip up an edit for said contest. Here is my entry:
If you'd like to see me win $20,000 (how could you not?), leave me a comment or give my video a vote, or both. CLICK HERE!

the Can produces
Over the last week, some areas of the wasatch have received over 100 inches of some of the highest grade snow known to man. This time of year you gotta milk every storm because you never really know if this will be the last powder for the year. The canyons area has produced thousands of feet of deep untracked vertical fall line skiing for us this last week. Only busted out the camera a few times because it was so damn good!
